When you purchase a ticket for the 2026 SVdP Madison Car Raffle, you may drive away in a brand-new vehicle, but you’ll for sure help someone in need. All proceeds from the raffle will support the Society of St. Vincent de Paul — Madison’s food pantry, pharmacy, housing assistance programs, and more. Your generosity will help families avoid eviction, keep children warm at night, and ensure seniors don’t have to choose between medicine and groceries.
Five lucky winners will drive away in a new car. But hundreds of families will drive toward stability because of you! Buy a ticket. Change a life. Maybe even your own.
Tickets are $100 each, and only 5,000 will be sold!
Raffle ticket sales will help struggling Dane County families by providing food, prescription medication, clothing, furniture, home goods, housing stability support and microloans. Learn more about our charitable programs here.
From May 4 to May 31, tickets are only available in person at St. Vinny’s Thrift Stores. You will see large posters with QR codes you can scan to access the ticket purchase page. Sorry, tickets aren’t available at store registers because they require different tracking and legal handling than store items.
From June 1 to June 30, tickets will be available in person AND online! Sign up here to be the first to know when tickets go on sale online.
This can be confusing when we only sell 5,000 tickets total. Physical ticket numbers begin at #1001, so as we approach the end of our car raffle sales, ticket numbers may surpass #5000. This does not mean we sold more than our promised amount!
No. The first raffle ticket selected will win the 2026 Honda CRV (White). The second ticket selected will win the 2026 Honda CRV (Navy Blue). The third ticket selected will win the 2026 Nissan Rogue (Grey). The fourth ticket selected will win the 2026 Mazda CX50 (Blue). The fifth ticket selected will win the 2026 Nissan Rogue (White).
People who purchase tickets online will receive a PDF scanned copy of their tickets via email within 5 business days of purchase. Please print a copy of your tickets.

No. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has taken the position that amounts paid for chances in raffles, lotteries, or similar drawings for valuable prizes are not donations and consequently do not qualify as deductible charitable contributions.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul — Madison has paid the sales tax on the vehicles. The prize winners of the cars shall assume all fees, local, state, and federal taxes. Winners will receive a 1099 tax form from SVdP Madison reflecting the value of the vehicle. Winners will be responsible for reporting that amount on their tax returns. Winners will be required to provide their Social Security number when the car is delivered. SVdP Madison takes no responsibility for any tax liabilities or costs. Consult your tax advisor.
Winners will be responsible for paying for the car’s title and registration with the state.

By purchasing a raffle ticket, the purchaser agrees to be bound by these rules and regulations:
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has taken the position that amounts paid for chances in raffles, lotteries, or similar drawings for valuable prizes are not donations and consequently do not qualify as deductible charitable contributions. Raffle tickets may not be resold. For online ticket purchases, per State of WI Statute, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul — Madison (SVdP Madison) is permitted to send the purchaser a copy of the purchaser’s portion of the ticket via the internet, email, or text message. The electronic transmission of the purchaser’s portion of the ticket must be done in a manner that permits the purchaser to print a complete copy of their portion. Tickets may not be mailed. The prize winners of the cars shall assume all fees, local, state, and federal taxes. SVdP Madison takes no responsibility for any tax liabilities or costs. Consult your tax advisor. This offer is void where prohibited by law, and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
The raffle drawing will be held on July 1, 2026, at Russ Darrow Mazda of Madison. The winner does not need to be present to win. The first raffle ticket selected will win the 2026 Honda CRV (White). The second ticket selected will win the 2026 Honda CRV (Navy Blue). The third ticket selected will win the 2026 Nissan Rogue (Grey). The fourth ticket selected will win the 2026 Mazda CX50 (Blue). If a winner does not claim the prize within 30 days of the drawing, the prize will be forfeited, and proceeds will go to SVdP Madison. Once a ticket is drawn, it cannot be returned to the drawing for the second prize. If winners are not present at the drawing, they will be notified by phone and email on July 2, 2026, using the contact information provided to SVdP Madison at the time of ticket purchase.
By entering this raffle, entrants accept and agree (1) to be bound by all the rules, limitations, and restrictions set forth here and (2) that their names and/or likenesses may be disclosed to and used by the news media and may otherwise be used by SVdP Madison for publicity purposes and in lists of prize winners to be published in area newspapers and announced on the SVdP Madison website. Other rules and regulations may apply. Please contact SVdP Madison if you have questions. SVdP Madison’s interpretation and application of the rules and regulations shall be final. By entering this raffle, each participant releases SVdP Madison, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by participating in the raffle or winning the car or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the prize. The winner agrees to indemnify and hold SVdP Madison harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of participating in the raffle or the winner’s acceptance or use of the prize.
