Recycle the Warmth this winter by donating new and gently used blankets, bedding, and sheets! Donations will be distributed to families in need throughout the year.
Each year, Dane County families turn to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul — Madison for bedding, blankets and sheets to keep their children warm, to sleep comfortably and to get a good night’s sleep. Last year, hundreds of struggling families received blankets at no cost. You can help Charlie, his mom, and thousands of people like them by sharing new and gently used bedding…
For Charlie, moving to Madison has been a lot of fun. He and Mom lived in Chicago, but all of a sudden, Mom said they needed to move. So they got to drive to a new home! His favorite part of his new school is recess, and he likes the other kids in his grade. He likes his new apartment too. It’s small, so he and Mom get to share a room! He wishes he had his blanket – the big Spiderman one. Mom didn’t take it when they left Chicago. He doesn’t understand why they can’t go back and get it.
Donate new and gently used blankets, bedding and sheets on January 31st & February 1st. Energize your friends, clubs, church, troops, and teams to help your neighbors in need. It’s a great service project for all ages.
Blankets collected during Recycle the Warmth that exceed the required annual supply to provide to families in need may be sold in St. Vinny’s Thrift Stores to fund our food pantry, charitable pharmacy and other services.
