Other Assistance

We can offer some other forms of help to local people in need. Please call us at (608) 257-0919 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays if you need a type of assistance below. (Not able to reach us directly when you call? Please leave a clear message with your name and phone number. We’ll call you as soon as we can.)

  • Home visits – To explore what resources might be helpful, pairs of St. Vincent de Paul members visit the homes of people requesting assistance. Home visits are arranged when help with utility bills or furniture is requested.
  • portable cribPortable cribs – If you have an infant or toddler in the household who needs a proper crib, we can offer a new portable crib as a safer option than sharing a bed with adults or other children.
  • Energy assistance – Please contact your energy company to see if you qualify for any programs.
  • Referrals – If we can’t help, we can share information about what other organization might do.

IMG_5825We are not usually able to give money for rent, transportation or other needs. Most of what we offer is in things: food, medicine, clothing, bedding or furniture to people who qualify. When financial help is needed, we may make a partial payment directly to those who are owed the money, rather than giving money directly to individuals.

If you have other questions about the assistance we offer, please contact us at (608) 257-0919.
