Gift through your Will - Estate Planning

Please consider making a charitable donation by giving a gift through your will. This common form of legacy gift will provide funding to support our mission and programs that help Dane County neighbors in need.

As one of the simplest and most common forms of planned giving, a gift through your will allows you to designate either a percentage of your estate or a specific dollar amount after other disbursements are made. A gift through your will can also reduce the amount of your taxable estate and may increase the actual amount willed to your loved ones.

After taking care of your loved ones, please consider leaving a gift in your will to St. Vincent de Paul-Madison. Every gift makes a difference.

A resource to help you create your will

To make this process simple, we partnered with FreeWill, a free online resource that guides you through the process of completing a legally valid will, and makes it simple to include the necessary language to create a bequest in your plans. This tool is free to you whether or not you choose to include a gift to the District Council of Madison, Inc., Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Using FreeWill, you can create a valid legal will on your own or prepare your wishes before finalizing your plans with an attorney. Get started now.

Have you already included a gift in your will or trust? Please fill out this form to let us know! We would love to thank you for your generosity.

“After seeing the tremendous good that the Society has done for the poor in the community, I decided to make a monthly financial committment to the Society now and also am leaving a legacy gift for later.”
