Hungry Tuesday is one of the busiest days of the year at the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. It’s also a 24-hour digital campaign to raise $30,000 to feed our neighbors in need.
About 166 families get food from our pantry each day. When our neighbors are short on rent, can’t afford to fill up their car, or can’t afford to pay their utility bill their options for help are limited. But because of you, there is a St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry where families can get the food they need, free of judgement.
This year we were blessed to receive generous funding to purchase turkeys and hams to provide families for Thanksgiving. Your support during Hungry Tuesday this year will provide all of the sides! All of the mashed potatoes, green beans, and mac-and-cheese that make Thanksgiving special.
Many people in Dane County struggle to afford food throughout the year. And during the holiday season, families in need don’t often have the money to purchase food for Thanksgiving. This holiday season is especially urgent due to the unexpected delays in SNAP (government food assistance). Your assistance will make the difference!
