Goods donation at-home pickup

Press Releases

September 10, 2021

Moving? Redecorating? Cleaning your house? If you have pre-loved goods that deserve another life, then donate them to St. Vinny’s Thrift Stores. Don’t have time to drive to a store? Schedule a free at-home pickup of furniture, bagged or boxed clothing, shoes or other small household items today!

How to donate:

  • Call (608) 278-2920 x1 between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday or 8:00 am – 3:00 pm Saturday, to request a scheduled pickup.

Pickup notes:

At this time we are accepting furniture, clothing, shoes and small household items. Please make sure small items are properly packed and fully enclosed in boxes or bags. In most cases, furniture should remain fully assembled. If you think an item would need to be taken apart to be moved, please ask the receptionist when you schedule your pick-up. As of November 2022, we can enter into the first level of your home to carry out items. Click here to view our handy packing guide!

Is my donation tax-deductible?

In 2018, the tax laws changed, but the good feeling of helping someone else and having a cleaned out, organized closet, garage or kitchen never changes! Visit the IRS website to help you understand goods donations and deductibility. Click here to print a goods donation receipt to complete for your records or taxes.
