Helping Our Neighbors in Need
Plant
a Row for the Pantry
Spring is here and so is
gardening season. If
you have some extra room in your garden consider planting an extra row for our Food
Pantry. Providing nutritious fresh produce is a priority at our Pantry
and we always have room for more. When you harvest your garden please
bring your surplus to our
Food Pantry which is located at 2033 Fish Hatchery Road, a half mile
north of the Beltline Highway.
Support and Shop our Thrift Stores.
The
five thrift stores we operate in
Dane County are the perfect way to stretch your budget in this difficult time.
Our stores were highlighted recently on Buzzed into Madison on the
CW channel. Emmy Fink recommends the store for a great holiday shopping
alternative. Check out the video. Shopping is not only good for your
budget you also support our many local efforts to help our neighbors in need.
Help Build Hope - Success!
We moved into the new pantry in June of 2009 but the downturn in the economy
left us $500,000 short on the funding we need to pay for this project. A
challenge grant of $100,000 has been given by Madison Community Foundation to
finish the fundraising. We are happy to announce that we met the
challenge and have raised all of the funds for our new center for Vincentian
Charity.
The new facility plays a key role
in our ability to continue to serve the increase need we are seeing with
efficiency and respect. Watch this You Tube Video and see the completed facility - Click here.
